The Story of TwirlyGirl®

Cynthia Jamin couldn’t sew a stitch and never thought she would. She was busy with an acting career. Her numerous television appearances included guest spots on Friends, Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Veronica’s Closet and E.R. But her most important role was on an episode of Just Shoot Me. It was then she met comedy writer Michael Jamin. They married and now have two little girls, Roxy 6 and Lola 4.
Two years ago, Cynthia and her mom thought it would be fun to take up sewing. Well, mom couldn’t quite figure out how to thread the machine and soon gave up. Cynthia, however found she loved the art of sewing with a passion.
She started making some skirts and pants for her daughters. The girls soon had a request: They wanted a very special dress; it had to be dressy enough to go to a pretend ball, but comfortable enough for running around. A trip downtown to the fabric warehouses was an inspiration; so many soft and colorful prints.
Cynthia knew she could use these fabrics to create whimsical dresses for little girls. She came up with her own distinctive designs: dresses that not only TWIRLED, but were REVERSIBLE and comfy. Two special dresses, completely different from the other. Just like a little girl’s changing moods.
Before long, moms were asking about these incredible dresses. Their little girls wanted dresses like Roxy and Lola’s. Cynthia could barely keep up with the requests. That’s how TwirlyGirl was born!
Cynthia insists, “My goal is to design vibrant comfy clothes that are fun to wear. Every girl that wears a TwirlyGirl dress is unique. I want the dress to be as extraordinary as she is.”
A special feature of TwirlyGirl lets inspired customers create their own reversible dress from a fabric gallery of over 40 different choices. Leggings, long sleeve tees and FancyPants round out the TwirlyGirl line.
